Early in the morning we set out in the dark to the summit of the Tiger Hills with its 2590 meters to experience the sunrise over the Himalayan massif. The sight of the play of colors on the 8,586 meter high summit of Kanchenjunga was more than impressive. The Lhotse with its 8516 meters and Mount Everest with 8848 meters were not so easy to spot. It was cold on Tiger Hill.
