In Liguria northwest of the city of La Spezia lies an impressive stretch of coast on the Italian Riviera that has become known as the "Cinque Terre". Here, picturesque towns nestle against the steep slopes of the gorges that end at the respective coastal sections. Between the villages are vineyards with narrow paths that have become a popular tourist attraction as these paths allow one to experience the Cinque Terre by walking from village to village.

We had moved into quarters in the town of Lerici, which is ideal for boat trips to the towns of the Cinque Terre.

If you have found accommodation in the heights of Lerici, you can enjoy fantastic sunsets over the Cinque Terre from here. And at night there is even more to admire here, because depending on the season, thousands of fireflies appear in the magical forests of the Lerici highlands.
