Ceaușescu

Ceaușescu – The Dictator of Romania
Nicolae Ceaușescu was the communist president of Romania from 1965 to 1989. His rule was increasingly authoritarian, with a policy of isolation and centralization. His government was marked by massive state control, the destruction of historical buildings, and the waste of resources for monumental construction projects such as the Palace of the People in Bucharest. Ceaușescu's regime ended in 1989 after violent protests, leading to his and his wife Elena's flight and arrest, followed by a brief trial where they were sentenced to death and executed.
