The village named St Lucia by stranded Portuguese in 1554 is located in the uMkhanyakude district of the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. This location is a popular starting point for excursions to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, where many different animals can be observed and photographed. Apart from the impressive "hippos", the hippos that occasionally roam the town at night, we were also able to observe and photograph the majestic fish eagles on a tour through the wetlands.
