The Marsh Harrier (Circus aeruginosus) is a bird of prey from the Accipitridae family. It breeds from central Mongolia to Portugal and from Scandinavia to North Africa. They build their ground nests in bogs and reeds. In doing so, it transports long building material from nearby forests, so that its appearance during the construction phases in flight appears very imposing and powerful. We photographed marsh harriers on the French island of Reunion and on the Danish island of Bornholm.
