The colorful houses of Mosjøen on the Vefsnfjord

The colorful houses of Mosjøen on the Vefsn River are particularly beautiful to see as the sun sets behind the Øyfjellet mountain to the west. The town is located on Tortenvika Bay in the Vefsnfjord, where the Vefsna River flows into the sea.

We had already stayed overnight in this place in 2008 on the way to the Lofoten and photographed the same subject with a Nikon D200. With slightly less favorable lighting conditions, the Nikon Z9 was supposed to show how the technology has developed during this visit. The results can be clearly seen in a direct comparison of the photos from then and now and, as expected, the dynamic range of the Z9's sensor, for example, is significantly better.
